Since I've read about complaints on this topic and experienced it personally, I thought it was a common issue.

It's specified that This option appears only if you already have star ratings from a synced library on your device.

I thought that the issue could be related to a bad syncing and found a solution that worked for me: as an Apple Music subscriber I turned it off on my mobile device (Settings -> Music -> Sync Library), waited a few seconds and enabled it again. The Music Library reloaded and then the Show Star Ratings option appeared.

Hope it'll work for HGMorris too.

The stars ratings is gone in iOS/iPadOS 13.5.1.

It was available an option in Settings -> Music -> Library to enable it. Now it's gone. I don't know if it's a bug or what.

Not sure what you base that comment on as I still see the star ratings and star ratings option on my iPhone XR running iOS 13.5.1
