Time zone changing to etc/GMT -1

Hi,

When my iPhone XS is set to the automatic time zone setting it regularly switches time by 7 hours. When it registers this other time zone shows up as etc/GMT -1.

When I switch to the manual time zone setting it returns to my local time zone.

I have updated the OS and rebooted the phone several times.

I have not located any other recent threads identifying a similar issue.

Part of my concern is that I received a malicious email with a password protected zip file that I tried to open last week (cleverly disguised as a reply to an email I actually sent). Though my phone said it was unable to open the zip, I am worried about what I might have uploaded to my phone.

(I installed Norton antivirus to scan the phone though I have read that anti virus software on iPhone is not that effective due to the infrastructure of the phone. But that is beyond my understanding.)

So I am not sure if this is malware/virus or a bug. Any assistance from the community would be greatly appreciated.
