Restart due to “new Time zone information”

Twice today I’ve had a message saying “Restart due to new Time zone information”. Between the 2 message I updated to iOS 16.4.

Is this message normal?

many thanks

Hello Timezonerestart,

If the message "Restart due to new Time zone information" keeps appearing frequently, it could indicate a problem with the iPad's time zone settings or a software issue. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:

  1. Check the time zone settings: Go to Settings > General > Date & Time, and make sure that the time zone is set correctly. If it is set to "Set Automatically," try turning this off and manually selecting the correct time zone. If you can't change the time or time zone on your Apple device - Apple Support
  2. Reset network settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and VPN settings. You will need to re-enter Wi-Fi passwords and other network information after resetting.
  3. Update to the latest software version: Go to Settings > General > Software Update, and check for any available updates. If there is an update available, download and install it.
  4. Contact Apple Support: If the issue persists, it may be a software or hardware issue that requires assistance from Apple Support. You can contact them through the Apple Support app or website, or visit an Apple Store for in-person support.

I hope this helps! Please let me know! :)
