I have a 5k display (philips 499p9h), I connected it via usb-c cable to my macbook, but the maximum resolution that I can get is 3840x1080.
The display instead should work correctly at 5120 x 1440.
it's normal?

It should work. It is possible you have the wrong kind of USB-C adapter to manage those resolutions.
That might work. Verify with Phillips that a video signal actually comes over USB-C.

I used the cable in the display package.
Maybe I have to take a Thunderbolt 3 cable?
