Move my music from one I pod to another

I got a new I pod 3 years ago as my I pod is on its last legs. Since then I have been trying to move my music from this to my new I pod and can’t manage it. I’ve been told Apple won’t let me do this but my music has all been purchased legally and collectively has cost a fortune. Is there any way I can move my music onto my new I pod. Thanks

You cannot move music from one iPod to another.

If your newer iPod is at least three years old, presumably the music on even older iPod came from an iTunes Library (your iTunes Library).

So copy the music from your iTunes Library to the newer iPod. If you have been using Sync to manage your older iPod, all you need to do is connect the newer iPod to iTunes and set Sync options for that particular device.
