Error when installing iCloud for Windows

When I try to install iCloud for Windows it always comes up with this error:

‘There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor’

How do I fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, EpicX!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you're having an issue installing iCloud for Windows.

Did you download iCloud for Windows from the Microsoft Store? If so, test the behavior after removing and reinstalling all components related to iTunes. You can see those steps in the following article: Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later

If you see an error message when attempting to uninstall one of the programs, then attempt to repair the the program, as outlined in the following article from Microsoft: Repair or remove programs in Windows 10

Additionally, ensure you have the latest Windows updates installed.

If you continue to have an issue, I would recommend reaching out to Apple directly by checking out this link to Contact Apple Support and they will be more than happy to proceed with additional steps.

Cheers!
