I can't transfer photos from iPod touch (4G) to Macbook.

Hi!

I just found and turned on my iPod touch after probably 5 years of not using it. I want to transfer the photos on it onto my Mac but I don't know how to.

I've tried plugging it in using a USB but I think it's so old that the Mac won't read it (I can't see it from the finder or from the photos app and the iPod doesn't appear to be charging even though it's plugged in).

I've tried emailing them but videos can't be emailed because I get an error saying they're "too long".

The iPod's software is up to date but, as it's so old, the latest version is iOS 6.1.6 so I can't even download any apps (like google photos or dropbox) to help.

any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

Thank you

iPod Touch (4th Gen)
