AirPods Pro software update

So I ordered a right AirPod replacement for my AirPods Pro and it came today but turns out I can’t use them because the replacement I received is The new 2D one and my old AirPods Pro are still running in 2C I cannot get them to update since every time I close the case to let them charge with my phone nearby they get disconnected I still wait around 30 min and then check if they update which they Do not keep in mind I do not include the new AirPod due to it already being updated however I then decide to put it in the case and still the case disconnects and never updates I have restarted the AirPods and my phone and also chose to forget the AirPods through Bluetooth but still this does nothing at all to help. What should I do now? I am stressing atm and do not have time for this nonsense
