El Capitan .APP (not .DMG)

Hi, I need help please I would like to find "El Capitan .APP" (not the .DMG that is available around there) where can I find it.

Thank you very much. It's been days since I start looking for this installer. (it's to make a bootable USB with El Capitan) but Im in catalina and I can't find it. And his computer is already dead so. what's the thing to do in this case.

His computer is a MacBook Pro 2010 not a pretty good idea to put Catalina there. not enough RAM and not a SSD HD.

Thank you in advice.

First of all you cannot install Catalina on a MacBook Pro 2010, it can only upgrade to High Sierra.

Next, El Capitan is available through opening the InstallMacOSX.dmg,

which you download from Section 4 here,

How to upgrade to OS X El Capitan – Apple Support

Double-click on InstallMacOSX.dmg that and it will open to InstallMacOSX.pkg.

This next bit has to be done on a mac that can run El Capitan.

A mac that came preinstalled with a newer OS than El Capitan will refuse.

Double-click on InstallMacOSX.pkg an installation window will open,

this does not install El Capitan, but creates the Install OS X El Capitan.app

which will appear in the Applications folder.
