Can you back up an external drive to iCloud

My iTunes library is on an external drive connected to my Mac. Is it possible to link this to my iCloud account so that it is backed up on there as well?

On a Mac, there are only 3 folders that are synced, not backed up, to iCloud.

iCloud should not be considered a backup.

The folders are always iCloud Drive and if you enabled them, the Desktop and Documents folders.

iTunes is not included in any iCloud syncing.

Time Machine is your best choice for truly backing up your Mac.
