MacBook Pro frozen by mcafee

My MacBook Pro is frozen, caused by mcafee security app, just keeps switching itself off and I can’t quit the app

Try starting in safe mode. When you get it started uninstall mcafee.

Mac OS problem report stalls iMac 2014 runinng Big Sur. Mac Calendar app froze. Forced quit. Responded to Mac OS prompt to send problem report to Apple. Clicked 'Send to Apple' and the window is frozen on the screen with a spinning beachball. How to force quit send to Apple problem report?
