HD/private/var/vm/sleepimage. what is this?

HD/private/var/vm/sleepimage 8.59GB

also HD/private/var/vm/swapfile0 1.07GB

but when i look at the HD the folder "private" is invisable.

Is it safe to delete the Security/vm file under the Relocated Items folder? I think I got it when I upgraded from El Capitan to Catalina or it could be when I moved storage devices. why the usage of internal drive shown on Utility Disk is different from that of Storage Management? I currently deleted a large file from the internal drive(emptied from trash), but the usage the file took is still shown on utility disk. Why is it?

/private directory taking 10GB of space I was Transferring some files to my external hard drive today and noticed that my storage is almost full. so I ran "clean my mac x" space lens and saw that /private is 3rd on the list and It's taking 10gb of space. are the files temporary? Because I searched on google and saw people that have the same issue but theirs was taking around 4 gb. can someone explain to me plz? 2011 13' MBP I'm sorry if I had mistakes. English is not my first language.

When your Mac goes into DEEP sleep, it saves a copy of the RAM memory in this sleep-image file. Then it can power down the RAM to save energy.

When it wakes, it re-loads the sleep image into RAM memory and resumes from where it left off.

Of course you can not read this. It may contain sensitive data. Keep out, less you want your Mac to cash in truly spectacular ways.
