I am on OS High Sierra 10. 13.6, how can I update from FCP X 10.4 to the last update before the release of Mojave?

I upgraded my 2014 MBP from Sierra to High Sierra 10.13.6. Unfortunately, the App Store does not give access to update FCP X except full download of Catalina. So, as I am on OS High Sierra 10.13.6, how could I be able to update from FCP X 10.4 to the last update before the release of Mojave? Is there any way to get an update for FCP X without upgrading to Mojave?

Any suggestion or support would be greatly appreciated.

Try moving the application to the trash, and redownloading from the Purchased page. You should get the last available version for your OS.

I believe 10.4.6 was the last update for the High Sierra.

By the way, when I upgraded to High Sierra, I didn't have any issue and After Effects CS6 is working as usual. In fact I didn't come across any apps that are not compatible after I upgraded to High Sierra. Would there be any difference if I upgrade it to Mojave?

Don't put it back. Just wait. You can rename it in the trash if you like and drag it somewhere else on the system.

Sadly, as you would know apple has stopped support for CUDA drivers on Mojave. I did not know this until I upgraded to Mojave. Does anyone know if Ray Tracing on After Effects CS6 is possible with OS High Sierra. My Computer specifications are as follows:

Thank you Tom. I moved FCPX to the trash and started downloading. But, do I need to completely empty the trash before the installation is complete or should I wait until it is installed?

NO NO NO. The trash is just to get it off the system area. Put it somewhere else. ZIP it. Always save old versions of FCP. Backup your libraries.

Thank you Tom. So, should I put it back and zip it before the installation is complete? I did not rename it yet, would it clash with the new downloads if I put it back to rename it or zip it?
