Apple TV 4K remote issues

Has anyone resolved the issue of having an Apple TV 4K and wanting to use a Apple Hi-FI speaker with the same remote control?

The old remote still controls the new Apple TV 4K but the new remote is impossible to pair with the old Apple speaker. It has buttons separate buttons for the volume that have no use.

I use the old (magnificent) hi-fi speaker as a primary speaker for my set and have a new HomePod for the back of the room, the experience is amazing, but i cannot control the volume of any of them with the Apple TV remote, it just doesn’t make any sense...

Also learning a new remote in the Apple TV doesn’t work for the old Apple remote.

Somebody with a solution?
