Old version of Office doesn't work w Catalina

I just updated to Mac OS Catalina now my old version of Microsoft Office won't work. Can I upgrade or do I have to buy 365?

Correct, 32 bit apps do not work with Catalina.

If your old version is Office 2016 you can update it to 64 bit. If your Office version is older you will have to buy a newer version.
