Check remaining storage

How do you check remaining storage left on a usb flash connected thru Apple connector to usb3 on a iPad Air running iPadOS 13.5?

You can browse the device. I don’t know if you can determine its remaining storage.

Thx for response. The connector works fine. Browse all files, move files, create new folder, etc. All good stuff BUT no way to check storage remaining. Even Chinese third party lightning devices which require additional app to run show storage on both iPad and the device. Surprised Apple does not show or support!
