Weird charging issue on Macbook Pro 2018 Touchbar

So, I've had this MB for two years, and it's worked and working great. Love the product.

However, after upgrading to Cataline 10.15.5 about a week ago, the system has started doing something weird.

Every night for the last week or so, the MB stops charging but recognizes the charger being plugged in.

I have it connected to power continuously through the default charger and USB-C cable, connected to a dongle that has two USB-C's two USB3, SD reader and HDMI. It happens around 6:00PM every night and I notice it after about 10% battery drain. Took a while to figure out, but if I disconnect and connect the dongle (with all cables connected) it starts charging again and everything is fine (until the next day).

I've read other posts here about charging stopping after updating to 10.15.5, but nothing that resembles this issue.

10.15.5 introduced battery health management https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT211094

Open system preferences > Energy saver > Battery Health(at the bottom) try toggling that. See if that helps.

I have a MacBook Pro 2018 and as soon as I did the update to 10.15.5 I started noticing that my battery would stop charging. I turned off the option for the the Battery health Management option like mentioned and my battery started charging again like normal. Other wise I was having to perform a SMC reset every time I disconnected power to get my battery to charge again. Thank you!!!
