Using my macbook pro as a display

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to use a mac to display an input (coming through hdmi) ? More specificlly, I'd like to know if i can use my mac to display the image coming from my ps4 directly through an hdmi cable. Thanks in advance !

Is there any way I can let my PS5 use my M2 14" Macbook Pro as a display? I know there is an app for streaming PS5 to Mac but that's horrible it streams in like 480p and cuts every min. I want input directly from my PS5. The HDMI on the MacBook Pro is only for output which is a major let down in my opinion. Im sure there's gotta be some sort of way to have a wired input? The MacBook Pro 14" seems perfect because of its top tier display.

Can I use an iMac as a display by connecting to a Mac mini HDMI? I have a 21.5 inch iMac, late 2012 with h 4 USB 3 and 2 Thunderbolt ports. (Not sure if Thunderbolt 1 or 2.) I am thinking of buying a Mac mini m1. Can I use the existing iMac as display-- eg by connecting Mac mini HDMI to one of the above mentioned ports? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

The MacBook Pro HDMI port is out only.
