I appreciate from an official Apple Support page that it is possible to stream music from Apple Music to a Chromecast from an Android device.
Can you please confirm if this same functionality is available for Apple users? (Personally I own an iPhone and an iPad, but no Android devices)

Yes you can! With Google home app! Make sure your Chromecast is set up through Google home. Then,
Open Google Home
Select media Icon,
Select Music
click iTunes, probably under “more”
Sign in to iTunes and Voila!
streaming capability to Chromecast.
That's precisely what I did. And it was a good move as Spotify seems to be so much better than Apple Music which I had been using for years...
I have an Chromecast audio in my sauna to a Car stereo. All electric components is using 12 v.
audio cable from ATV 4 need to modyfi it 12 or 5v

you can’t if it’s a build in chromecast like I have. It’s almost 2021 and you can’t even cast Apple Music to a chromecast device... Apple is falling behind.
Amazing that in 2021 and you still can’t cast Apple Music on iOS. And no, AirPlay doesn’t offer the same functionality or quality.
Back to Spotify and Plex.
