slow Macbook Air

We have a macbook air that is a few years old. Overtime it has gotten slower, and sometimes is very slow loading. Will resetting to factory settings speed it up? If I bring it to Apple Store can they do diagnostics on it?

Why is everything so slow and clunky on my mbp2019 16” after a clean Monterey install and boot camp blue screens windows now during install, seriously Apple, I didn’t pay for this. Which tool I can use ( built-in and paid version) when my MacBook running very slow ? My MacBook Pro 2012 running very slow. I am curious to know what to do if I want to diagnose any issue with hard drive, ram, fan or other components are not functioning properly or need to replace ? Thank you in advance.

Please determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac. Your observations will help determine possible corrective actions.
