Apple Watch Volume Control

I really hate the volume control function on the Apple Watch. I inadvertently blast the volume when I wash my hands or put on lotion. I have changed the orientation so the dial is on the inside of my wrist, but I just blasted the volume because I hit the button when I was putting lotion on. I have looked to see if I can disable the button from volume control but haven’t found anything. Is this possible?
