Is there a way to disable the volume control on the side of the watch?

I keep having the volume get jacked up or turn itself down because the dial on the side seems to malfunction when I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt or sweater. I've had a few times when I'm at work (I use spotify from my phone for music) and it ended up BLASTING through the clinic (luckily i wasn't wearing headphones).

Is there not an option to disable the volume dial?

There is no way to disable this.

But in order for you to control the volume the Now Playing app must be on your watch face.

Try putting it in the background from your iPhone>Watch>Display & Brightness>Auto-Launch Audio Apps>Toggle this off

and when you do want to control the music, tap the now playing where you get the red notification dot, in the middle top row.

Or you can try wearing your watch with the crown towards your elbow.

Chang the straps then change the orientation from your iPhone>Watch>General>Watch Orientation
