earpods working for calls, but not working for music.

My iphone isnt recognizing earpods to play music, however It is recognizing them for phone calls and whatsapp calls.

Airpods pro 2 disconnecting when answering call I just bought some airpods pro 2 yesterday. I’m currently using an Iphone Xs. Everytime I answer a call with the headphones they disconnect and take about 10-15 sec until they reconnect. I’m on ios 16.1.1. The store replaced me the airpods as they thought it’s a hardware the defect but it’s the same with the new pair. I called the apple support and they couldn’t hell me as well and told me to reset my phone and update it again with the computer but nothing helped. I’m really hoping that this is something that can be resolved with a software update otherwise I just threw 300€ into the waste. I read on reddit that multiple people have this issue using the iphone Xs. Please let me know if there is a fix ASAP

Iphone 14 Pro Max, MS Teams, Airpods 3rd Gen A2564 Do NOT WORK Hi, I bought new iPhone 14 Pro Max and today I was connected for my monday meeting on Teams from my iPhone 14 Pro Max with my Airpods 3rd generation. However with multiple tests the users could not hear me, I could hear them fine. I tested with multple people, i even disconnected and reset the Airpods connection. I still have my OLD iPhone 12 Pro max and they still work fine with it. It has to be the above combination of Iphone 14 Pro Max, MS Teams, Airpods 3rd Gen A2564 Do NOT WORK. Please advise. AJ

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Community! I see you are having an issue with your AirPods not woking when you use a music application, it is important to be able to use them for all applications.

This article shared guidelines for resetting the AirPods and try using them again and see if the issue persists.

Reset your AirPods.

By mentioning the AirPods not working for with music, is it the Music app in your iPhone or a different application? Some applications might need a change in setting or change in preference like using the bluetooth device that is connected for audio.
