Password Reset on Yosemite
My laptop is encrypted with Filevault. I don't have the recovery key. However, I believe the key is backed up on my iCloud account. When I perform a password reset, I am able to login using my iCloud username and password. I get a security check, then I get a couple of EULA prompts. After, I get a message saying that my password has been reset, please restart. There is no prompt for me to enter a new password. When I restart my computer, I still can't log in to my profile, even with my iCloud account information.
This feels like a glitch, or maybe just a function of Filevault.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
