A single clicking noise from fan when it starts (less then 2 month old MBP 16)

Hi, when my fan first starts on my new MBP 16 (less then 2 months old), it makes a single clicking noise.

The sound doesn't repeat itself unless the fan has turned off again and then restarts, again producing a single clicking noise.

Any ideas? should I go to an apple store for them to check this out?

Hi there, tphjenkins.

I see that, whenever the fan starts running on your 2019 MacBook Pro, you hear a single click sound which doesn't happen again until the fan restarts. I'm glad to help with this.

How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac -- Use Apple Diagnostics to see if it shows an issue with the fan on your MacBook Pro.

Apple - Support - Product Selection — If Apple Diagnostics doesn't show any issue with the fan but you still keep hearing a clicking sound, I recommend contacting Apple Support. After selecting this link, choose Mac notebooks and type "fan" in the Search topics field. Select "Built-in fans not working as expected" from the Results > No Thanks. Continue. Then select how you'd like to start the conversation.

Take care.
