iOS 13.5.1 update created "no Service" once installed on my 7 iphone. Can't find out what to do to resolve this issue. Displays "No Carrier" on cellular in General. Need some help

The same thing happened with my 8 plus. I finally got in touch with a real Apple expert. After running remote testing, one test came back as a failure which was Presence Test Baseband. I have no idea what that means, but my expert did. Instead of dismissing me like everyone else as being unwilling to accept a hardware problem, she took me at my word that it was software related. After being told not to do a full erase/restore by the other Apple techs because it might make things worse, this one said to do it. I erased everything back to brand new, but did not restore it from icloud immediately because that could have brought back the bad update. We verified that the phone was working without restoring anything. Then we did a second full restore from the icloud backup and this time the update installed correctly.
Steps taken:
I hope this works for everyone else. They all told me it was a hardware issue and I would have to pay to have it fixed or buy a new phone. They were wrong.
And you then reset network settings and restarted your phone, like suggested in the post above yours, and that fixed it. Right?

Have you tried putting the SIM back in to your X again.... now that it's been in another phone for a while? Try it... the X may well be working again. Seems to work for me.
After much fafing about to get my phone stable again I won’t be updating any time soon.
In hind sight I should never have done a clean install, at least I had a wifi working device. Now I just have phone that can't contact the update server what ever that means.
Not had any issue connecting to my home wifi network but it still doesn't allow "wifi calling" I can only make a call through WhatsApp.
I think it's time to scale this up a level and approach the Media, we'll let them print and report on this issue as Apple seem to be doing little to admit and resolve.

Is your phone still working fine???? I tried everything you said and a few days later it started losing cellular and turning itself off. Back to dumb phone
Good luck with engineer. Ive asked to get one to help me but my advisor stopped responding to my emails. Please let us know how you make out.
If you read the thread completely you will find people at opposite ends of the planet are having exactly the same issue coinciding with the update.
Proved by moving the SIM card to another phone and still getting service, it’s not a network issue.

Tried all the suggestions for this, but then found this page., right down to trying to restore the phone.
Contacted support and it appears to be the root problem. Shipping off phone today.
13 minutes on chat, start to finish, most of which was my getting to my computer to turn off Find My iPhone via the web. Easy.
I find that my iPhone 7 still restarts by itself and sometimes comes back with “no service”. What I have found is that doing a soft reset fixes it nine times out of 10. (hold “volume down” and “power” together until iPhone 7 switches off and Apple logo reappears).
I just turned my phone off and on again 5 times in the same room before it got cellular. Apple your software is failing a lot of people who patronized you when buying your iphone7 device.
