Update office 2011 for mac OS Catalina

I have down loaded Catalina, but office 2011 for mac does not work. How to upgrade/update Office 2011 to 64bit version for OS Catalina?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Yes. 2011 was a long time agao. Microsoft decided to no longer support Office 2011. Then Apple released Catalina which is not compatible with any 32 bit apps.

Office 2011 can not be updated. Microsoft has stopped supporting Office 2011. You need to buy a new version of Office.

Does it mean, I have to write off my purchase cost of this Office 2011 for Mac, paid to Microsoft? and spend some more money to buy new version?
