CAN'T CHANGE THUMBNAIL IMAGES ON MY MP4 VIDEO FILES

I used to be able to change the thumbnail images on my mp4 video files. I used to take snapshots of my videos main titles and then slide them over to the info section of each folder and the thumbnails would then show the title page of the videos. I can't do that any longer. Any suggestions????

Thanks, Tony

That's what I've been doing after viewing several tutorials in YouTube, but that's not working. One of them even said that my snapshot had to be a perfect square, so I changed to a perfect square and still, nothing happened. I'm working on 4K, mp4 video files that I have on my external drive for replay on my TV as those files are too large for disks. When I pull up the files on my TV I would like to see the titles appear so that it's easier for me to select and open the files for playback. Thanks

Thanks Tom and Terry. I'm going to go back and try reducing the resolution of the pictures to see if that helps. The process used to be very simple and alway seemed to work for me. I guess that one of the recent updates may have altered the process as now it's not working at all for me. Thanks and I'll let you know how I did.

Thanks Terry. Tried that several times and nothing happened at all. I really appreciate your stepping in and trying to help me thru this though. I'm just going to have to learn to live with this going forward. I cannot understand why Apple changes their operating system every time that they do an update. Anyway, that's another story. Thanks again Terry.
