MacBook freezes when coming out of sleep mode

When I'm away from my MacBook Air 2019 long enough for it to go into sleep mode, I have to wait one minute before I can access the cursor again. The screen comes on by touching any key or the trackpad, but the cursor is frozen. I have to wait & wait for whatever is going on inside. Am I the only one using the new MBA that is experiencing this?

I've kind of the same problem on my MacBook Pro 2019 16" since upgrading to 10.15.5: After waking up from sleep, the trackpad is frozen. At the same time bluetooth search comes up searching for an external mouse or trackpad, so obviously the internal trackpad is kind of "disconnected". After about 30 seconds everything is back to normal, trackpad works as it should.

Hope they'll fix it soon!

Thank you for the reply. Several months ago, I saw that Bluetooth keyboard/trackpad message popping up, so I went to System Preferences and made sure to uncheck anything related to external keyboards. Now, the Bluetooth keyboard search no longer comes up, but the number of times in a day that I wake my MBA 2019 from sleep and have to standby as 60 seconds click off the clock is becoming very annoying. Seems Apple either doesn't recognize this issue or has no solution for now. This has been happening for more than 6 months and predates my upgrade last week to IOS 10.15.5
