Can’t receive email from a gmail account

The iCloud email server keep block emails from my boss! He has a gmail account and definitely sent the emails to me. However I can’t see them at all, not in junk either! This is causing a few problem with work.

I cloud mail I can’t receive emails from a certain email address ! Is there a way to make sure I don’t have a block on there email or if it’s in a spam file I can’t acess
