Missing Photo Booth Photos

I have a Macbook pro and I wanted to find where my photo booth pictures were stored in Finder, so I found Photo Booth Library and Instead of option-clicking and choosing "show package contents", I double clicked it and opened Photo Booth, and a pop up said “this is not your default photo booth library. Do you want to make this library the default?" and my options were quit and make default library, so I pressed make default. Now all of the pictures and videos I had in photo booth were replaced by one really old photo from 4 years ago? I’ve tried going into my user folder and pictures but the library is still only showing that one photo. I’ve also tried recovering photo booth from an earlier time machine backup but nothing works.

Please help, I hope they're not gone for good. They were really important!

Hi leroydouglas, just tried that and unfortunately same thing - old photo from years ago and all my other photos/videos have disappeared

What does this mean(?)... "all my other photos/videos have disappeared "

Is this independent of PhotoBooth?— if you are looking for an alternate Photo Library, hold the option key when you launch Photos.app
