Cannot Sign into Apple ID on iPhone 3GS (2020)

Hi there everyone,

I cannot sign into my apple ID account on my iPhone 3GS.

It sends a message to my iPhone 8 and MacBook Pro saying would you like to add this device and then gives me the code (Two Step Verification) and does nothing else on my iPhone 3GS.

Would anybody know how to solve this?

Thanks!

The version of iOS on a 3GS is at best 6.x. That predates either 2 Step Verification or 2 Factor Authentication. iOS 6.x has no idea what a 6 digit code or where to put it.

Which do you use? 2SV or 2FA?

If 2FA, see this >>> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915

So if your password is Apple123 and the 6 digit code is 456789, you enter in one string, Apple1234567899 in the password field on the 3GS.

They don't say so, but the same steps should work for 2SV.
