Unable to access iCloud files on iPhone X

Setup iCloud on my iPad and put approx 20 documents into files. All ok on iPad however cannot access them on my iPhone. The location is not visible or any of files to select to open. I closed and logged back in to iCloud on my phone a error message appeared error loading iCloud and at present loading icon continues spin ? Any advice please.

iPhone won't erase all content and settings I'm trying to erase everything from my previous phone. Not even the last phone I had but two phones prior. When I click on the Erase all content and settings it has a message that says Documents and data are being uploaded to icloud. I have icloud drive shut off on this previous phone but the message freaks me out. This previous phone; the iPhone 6S hasn't been used since 2017(and have had another phone afterwards; PLUS I just upgraded to the phone I have now, just a few days ago.) so not sure what documents might be loading. Is it safe to allow it to erase everything? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Yes, docs in files app on iPad but not on phone? I have done a full back up and factory reset on phone and all seems ok now. Cheers.

Did you check the Files app on the iPhone?
