ios 13.5.1 storage issues

Thanks, I already tried that and the storage was taken up one the backup was restored. I’ll try again but I’m not holding my breath; appreciate your advice though!

There is no cleaner app that will do anything useful, and most of them will just slow down your phone. And some will steal personal information, especially the free ones.

I tried - not enough storage.

What I can see with this person’s comment is he was arguing and didn’t even care to help. I am using iphone x 64 GB. After update my other storage is taking 40 GB of data. According to this person’s reply we should through our iphones if it is old model, 64 or less. Apple is going worst day by day. In one of the articles, I read Apple does these things in their update. So, that people start feeling frustrated and get a new iphone. Apple is the only company which is not on any social media platforms. So, that customers won’t criticize them for whatever they are doing.

Enough of Apple issues. I am switching to Android.

I had same issue but it is fixed and My iPhone storage has enough space now.

Take a backup of your iPhone ( ICloud preferably)

Do a factory reset

Login to your iCloud account

wait for the sync to complete that will get all your data saved on icloud

Once Done Your Iphone is ready with lot of storage.

Apple can’t fix a problem with your phone without actually troubleshooting your phone. Go to Settings/General/iPhone storage and see what is using the most storage. For example, if Other is very large (>10 GB) that can indicate storage corruption. Other is all data on the phone that is not shown in the colored graph categories when you go to Settings/General/iPhone Storage. Other is typically 1-2 GB. If it is larger, to fix this follow these steps:

Same thing is happening to me ;(

I’ve deleted almost everything. Still the Other increases. It’s over 32 GB . As soon as I delete an app it gobbles up the space. What is going on it’s cannibalizing my phone

I have the same problem. With every update somehow my memory balloons 36+gigs with the “other” category being huge. Every time. The only way I’ve managed to fix it is to completely erase and reset my phone with a previous cloud backup. It’s extremely annoying.

I will add that “other” takes up 34.95gb now out of 64 gb on my phone. I’m going to backup and restore if it’s not fixed Monday.

I tried doing this, but Restore won't work because there isn't enough memory on the phone. Catch 22!
