reset to factory settings

i received a new iPhone10 to replace my old iPhone8- this is a work phone. I need to turn in my old phone, but want to reset it to factory settings before i do so. My phone is asking me to put in my AppleID password, but says it failed after i put it in.


How do i reset phone to factory settings when this is happening?

iPhone 8, iOS 13

It is to prevent someone picking up a lost or stolen phone and doing what you are trying to do

You must have the apple ID that this phone was activated with, and the current password
