I need to purchase an external hard drive for my new MacBook Air, bought Feb 2020. It has a different sized port (ie plug in spot) from the prior Air I had. Can someone recommend one that is compatible?

Thanks very much. I just wanted to be sure that the plug would fit my new Mac, since they changed the size of it from my 4 yr old computer which I had to replace, and I've already gotten some things that don't fit. Thanks!
