Backing up phone

I’m trying to back up my phone and when it backs up it crashes after about 15 mins and I have to restart. I have enough storage and I’m on WiFi and plugged in.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 11

If you can't back up to iCloud or restore from iCloud backup failed - Apple Support

Backing phone up but it keeps restarting I'm about to switch to a new phone, so first I'm trying to back up the one I currently have. My phone has a problem where it freezes and restarts frequently (about once every half hourish) which means that every time I try to back it up, it restarts before it can finish and then the backup doesn't work.
