Need help with palm/hand rejection. iPad 7gen

So I just got my iPad 7gen (iOS 13.5.1) and I’m using a 3rd party pencil for now till the Apple Pencil comes in. But I am getting jittery lines, ones that disappear as I’m drawing/writing along with random spots. It happens in every writing/drawing app. I’ve seen it’s been an issue before in earlier years so what could this be? I have shut off zoom settings I’ve tried gloves. Nothing has seemed to work. Help. I really want to get better at digital art and it’s the only reason I got the iPad so I could digitally draw on the go!

This is NOT a good stylus and definitely NOT a good replacement stylus, at all, for an Apple Pencil.

Total garbage!

There is nothing to be done for the crummy quality and performance of this stylus.

The stylus you purchased is another type of commonplace, “active” capacitive stylii that is a fine tip/ballpoint-like tipped, battery operated, so-called “active” , non-Bluetooth stylus type that uses a tiny battery to send small electrical signals to a fine point tipped stylus that mimics an actual finger touch.

All of these types of stylii suffer from varying degrees of line wobble when drawing angular lines. Some of these “unknown, no-name” battery powered stylii wobble write/draw worse than others.

You would have been much better off with this Adonit stylus that is compatible with the 7th gen iPad and with the compatible apps listed.

The Adonit Note+

Other than Adonit stylii, which IMHO, have great quality and great functionality with all of the third party approved compatible apps.

No “off brand, “no-name”, battery powered active, battery powered stylus sold by Amazon is any good and is of low quality and poor functionality.

The only better battery operated “active’” capacitive stylii that I can fully recommend are made by Adonit/

All battery powered “active”, non-Bluetooth capacitive stylii will all have some degree of line wobble when drawing and writing with these stylii

All of Adonit's versions of these types of stylii show this line wobble to a much lesser extent, though.

If you already have an Apple Pencil on order and shipping, just wait for it!

If you ever need a good alternative, 2nd best stylus for your iPad, the newest Adonit Note+ is the 2nd best stylus I can honestly recommend for your 7th gen iPad.

Adonit stylii have been around for the past 6-7 years and they make great stylii for any iPad model.

Best of Luck to You!

Thats the thing i can handle the wobble. Which isnt that bad. Its the fact that lines get erases even when im drawing them and sometimes nothing even shows on the screen at all. Its a problem ive read a lot of people have ran into even with a apple pencil.... I even have a video of it doing it and have seen others with the apple pencil doing the same thing.

I have no clue.

All I can tell you is the stylus you purchased is garbage and basically is a commonplace capacitive stylus with NO pressure sensitivity OR palm rejection.

You need to use a drawing glove to isolate your hand when writing or drawing.

I use an older iPad Pro with an Adonit Pixel stylus and with a drawing glove for additional reinforcement for palm rejection and do not experience these issue is any sketching/drawing/painting/notes apps.
