Watch sensor burns

On the

on the 12 June 2020 I reported and sent pictures of serious sensor burns on my wrist. Apple Informed me they hadn’t heard of burns from the watch. It was never reported before. They would do an investigation and get back to me in five days. I now see there are numerous complaints from watch sensors causing burns. This watch is unsafe and I plan on following up on this.

i have resorted to using medical Silicone tape on wrist. Mepiform comes in a useful size5x7cm. Not cheap but as long as not on broken skin can be reused many times, keep backing cover to store when watch not in use.

Update for other people experiencing this problem: I just got off of the phone to apple support. They escalated the issue to a senior person who sent a link for me to upload my photo. She saw the photo and immediately said that she is now following this case for me and it will be escalated again to their Engineers. The engineers will look at the logs on my iPhone which is linked to the watch. I assume in order to see what applications/ functions were in use?? I was told it will be 2 working days and they will phone me with the outcome of their investigation. I have been advised not to wear the watch in the interim. I was assured that they will provide support with this issue. The redness is still there today but not as vivid and I have not had any pain.
