Plug-Ins > FxPlug missing

New to FCP X and trying to install 1st plugin.


The folder Macintosh HD/Library/Plug-Ins/FxPlug does not exist after installing FCP. I even deinstalled FCP and reinstalled to verify.


Should I create these two folders? If so, should the owner of the folders be changed to "root", as it appears all the folders in /Library are owned by "root"? And should the access permissions be set to 755?

There is not any level on which you should be messing with an FxPlug folder. FxPlugs are "low level" resources that should be installed with an appropriate installer... unless you otherwise have **explicit** instructions on how to install FxPlugs from the plugin maker.

PS - Pixel Film Studios has a very poor reputation around here (including software theft).
