How to export iphone imovie project with minimal storage?

Hi all,

I should first say I now know how stupid I was to get in this predicament....however I'm hoping someone has a solution to help me.

I've dedicated 15 months of my life to making a compilation of photos/videos for my child's first year on the imovie app of my iphone(64 GB). It is 111 minutes long, gigantic I know :(

I finally completed it, went to save the file to my camera roll, it was almost completely done when it told me there was an error and I didn't have enough storage. My available phone storage dropped by about 10 GB after it failed! I went through and deleted any apps that I don't use, all music, all videos and photos that are not on the imovie project and anything else I could think of. It got me maybe 1 GB. It says I'm using 36.3 GB of my 64. iMovie is taking up 10.96 GB, photos next at 1.33 GB and everything else is 400 MB or less.

I bought an external hard drive that connects right to the iphone hoping for a miracle but that didn't work.

I've looked into being able to "split" the project in 2 so I can export a smaller project...don't see any way to do that.

I've tried air dropping the project to my husbands phone who has more storage....nope.

Does anyone have an idea for me? I will be crushed if I have to start over completely with this project...I don't even want to think about how many hours went into this.
