Key commands for click buttons

If you mean using the keyboard to select/click interface buttons, then you can activate System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls

Can you just go to Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts and see if any are listed , if not, click on the Reset button and that should restore the default keyboard shortcuts and you should then be able to select multiple objects using the shift key
