Screen and keyboard flickering

The MacBook Air 2017s screen started flickering along with its backlit keyboard once I tried to open it starting new session. As others key were not working I pressed shutdown to switch it off and again started it agin after few minutes. This time the laptop is booted but it started making frequent and loud sound tuk tuk tuk....

As again others key won't working I had to go for Shutdown key to switch it off. This time I noticed that the bottom part of my MacBook Air was generating a lot of heat. I waited for 20 minute and then again restarted it only to find this time it was normal as usual....

What may have caused this problem in MacBook Air and how can I prevent it from happening again?

Hello Satish-

It is very difficult to determine the cause of the symptoms that you had stated in your post because the conditions are hard to assess and duplicate.

Try these basic troubleshooting techniques and see if one of them resolves the issue.

  1. Reset SMC by following the directions applicable to your MacBook Air here ➔ How to Reset SMC. If that does not solve things then-
  2. Reset NVRAM/PRAM by following the directions applicable to your MacBook Air here ➔ How to Reset NVRAM/PRAM.  If that does not solve things then-
  3. You can have your MacBook Pro examined at the Apple Store or an Authorized Service Center when they open or contact ➔ Apple Support
