Unable to establish new Group in Contacts

Can’t create new group in contacts. Tried on device (iPad) and in iCloud, Group selection disabled on both when plus button is selected.

I am unable to add contacts to a group I have been able to do this in the past, so I know what the procedure is. I have no idea when this stopped working - with which software update. I hope someone can help. Thanks!

I can no longer create new Groups in Contacts I can no longer create new Groups in Contacts. I go to File>New Group and make a group, but once I name it and hit return it disappears. I have made many, many groups in the past. have I reached the limit?

Hello,

iPad’s Contacts application does not support creating or managing Groups at this time.
