wifi calling

I just got an iPad 7th Gen. After setting it up, I was able to make a call using WiFi Calling without it being linked to my iPhone 11. Essentially, I was able to call one person from the iPad and call another person on my iPhone. So basically I was able to be on a work call on my iPad while someone can call me on my iPhone without interrupting my work call.

However, it stopped working out of the blue and I can’t find a solution. PLEASE HELP.

iPhone 11, iOS 13

WiFi calling from iPad requires an iPhone with an active Cellular Airtime plan that supports WiFi calling from other devices - and both iPad and iPhone configured to use Apple Continuity features:

Make a call with Wi-Fi Calling – Apple Support

Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple Watch – Apple Support
