Image Capture "delete" button suddenly disappeared while using

I was using Image Capture to download photos from my iPhone to my computer, as I routinely do. Suddenly yesterday in the middle of this process, the "delete" icon (not the "delete after import" option) disappeared. I have quit Image Capture and disconnected my phone and started over; I still get the same problem.

Mac OS 10.11.6, Image Capture version 6.7.

I do not have iCloud backup so this is not the reason.

Advice? Thank you.

Hello lois68,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. From what I understand, you are using Image Capture to download phots from your iPhone and the delete icon disappears, correct? I'm here to help you take a look in to that!

Will this happen when I will get to a particular photo?

First, lets turn off and on the Mac and iPhone and attempt the process again:

Restart your iPhone
