Dashboard icon lost from the dock

The other day I decided to go to the Apps store and to update everything. I have done it only once and regretted it - a different story.

And now instead of the dashboard icon in the dock, there is a large question mark.

Actually, I'd rather not have the dashboard jumps at me when I happen to go to the top left corner. This is where an instructor, an iMac ago suggested to have it. So, how do I remove this big question mark from the dock?

Thank you

To remove the ? mark Icon from the Dock > Control (right) click on it > select Options > select Remove from Dock.

To stop the Dashboard from opening when you move your pointer to the top left corner, go to Apple > System Preferences > Mission Control . select the Hot Corners button near the bottom > set the top left corner to None.
