I am trying to create a new card in Contacts, on my Macbook Pro. Each time, after one or two entries, the new card disappears and I am back where I started. This has just started happening after the latest MacOs upgrade.
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15
Disable Sys Prefs>iCloud>Contacts & try.
Is iCloud syncing messing it up?
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
Sadly no. I tried Safe Mode, and it still happened. But thanks!
Thanks, that enabled me to add a contact card. But do I now have to live with syncing?

Now the challenge, enable iCloud syncing & see what disappears or what... you do have a good current backup correct?
I'm thankful I don't need to rely on iCloud for anything.
