icloud storage

I am using the free 5GB of icloud storage for my iPhone and have the auto backups turned on. The only apps that are being backed up are calendar, contacts, and notes for a total of about 50 MB. The phone indicates that the next backup size should be around 70 MB but when the backup is attempted the size is around 5.28 GB and the backup does not happen. What am I missing? Thanks!

Backup and iCloud The only two items I am backing up to the iCloud are Contacts and Notes. For a total of like 150 MB. My phone has stopped doing the backup because it says i'm almost out of storage - 4.4GB! When I look at what's taking up the space, it's the backup itself. Why is that happening? If I go to Manage the backup and delete the backup, does that delete my Notes and my Contacts from my iPhone? And as a follow up, if that cleans up my icloud, should I be able to save just Notes and Contacts? What is that huge backup file on the icloud anyway? Is that their way to make customers purchase more storage?

Icloud does not do a full backup to icloud I have an Iphone 11 Pro Max and i have used 60gb out of 512gb on it. I backed it up to icloud but icloud only backups 16.1gb. The last time i checked my estimated backup size, the sizes of the app dun match with what is on my iphone storage. I would like to know how to do a FULL icloud backup. Thanks

iPhone 11 16.1.1 backup file size I'm running out of iCloud storage space and can't figure out why my iPhone back up is 1.64 GB. Photos, messages, contacts, notes, etc are all synced to iCloud themselves, so I was under the impression that they are not included in the backup file. Under the backup menu, I've deselected all the apps to not be included in the backup and the file size is still 1.64GB. So what data exactly is causing this? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you can't back up your iOS or iPadOS device to a computer or restore it from a backup - Apple Support

If you can't back up to iCloud or restore from iCloud backup failed - Apple Support
