You can assign a youtube link to text in Apple Mail (right-click on the selected text, Link : Add Link) or you can attach a reasonably sized video to the email message. Apple's markup utility does not support link annotation on an attachment image. The user presentation side of the compose message is not HTML, so you won't find any HTML editing feature.

It depends on how big the video file is. Apple Mail can send attachments up to 20 MB in size. Over that, at least with Apple's iCloud Mail, one can use the Mail Drop feature to sent up to 5 GB file sizes.

you don't understand. The embed from Youtube does not actually put the video in the email, it creates a link that shares the video from Youtube and it will load when the recipient opens the email. There is no MB in the email itself.
Yeah, the embed from Youtube creates iframe content which won't post in email. Other email programs allow it. Just trying to do it for one show. Funny that you can forward an email that comes to you that has a linked embed video.

Not funny, because below the user interface, Apple Mail does do HTML/CSS content which is why it can forward embedded iframes in received HTML content.
So you want to embed the video in the email instead of just providing a link to the Youtube page hosting the video, right. If you can't embed it in the Apple mail then it is what it is. Provide the link.
[I deleted my post. I misread your request]
I know how to do that.
Yes, you can include a link to a Youtube video or to any website in an email. Just use the full URL that Youtube provides in the Share menu under the video.,
